Stealing

In part 3 of the "Book Thief", Liesel Meminger and Rudy Steiner steals apples with a group of boys from a farm. I couldn't say that stealing is wrong in this case because of the conditions that Liesel and Rudy live in. They were starving because their family was poor that there was just a scarce amount of food in their house. So Liesel and Rudy agreed with the group of boys that they were going to steal the apples with them. They, speacially Rudy, could have died of hunger if they haven't stolen the apple to fill their stomach. If Liesel and Rudy were rich and stole apples from the farm, then that will be wrong thing to do because they're doing it for the fun or they want to be evil. If they were rich then there wouldn't be a reason for Liesel and Rudy to steal apples because they would have enough food for their family at home.

Liesel's Future

Until now, I have read through Chapter 2 of this book called Book Thief. In the story a girl called Liesel is introduced in the prologue and the first two chapters. She looses her brother while traveling in the train with their mother. Since the beginning of the story,Liesel is very depressed and sad. Also, she has to say good bye to her mother right after her brother dies. She has to go and live with foster parents because her mom is not in a situation to raise kids by her own. However, Liesel behaves bad with her foster mother, Rosa Huberman.

I think Liesel will be soon loved by her foster parents because she will be knowing better of her foster parent.Plus, she is already doing well with Hans Huberman. In the prologue, the Death goes to the place where the plane has crashed. I think Liesel is the one traveling in the plane. Maybe she dies there or not but this book is narrated by the Death, so I think she will die anyways at the end of the book. The Death will take her soul like it described in the beginning.

Living in a closet

While reading we can see that Anita is spending a lot of days stuck in the closet.
Anita had had some effects living in a closet. She was feeling lonely because she couldn't get out of the closet to play outside with Oscar and his sisters. Also, she and her mom was very nervous and thay were very afraid. For example, if they heard a sound or a footstep they will suddenly become so panicked. Anita became more sensitive and passed more time crying than betore.

If I was the one who was in Anita's situation, I would have been paranoid.
I would be afraid and lonely, and I would be very picky of everyting going on around me. The reason is because the longer you spend all the time alone or stuck in a closet, more sensitive you would be. Also, because if I have no one to talk to or if I can't do what I want to and not going out side for so long time, it wil definitly change your personality or at least have some effects on you.
So, basically, if i would have been in a closet like Anita,I would have the same effects that Anita had.

I thought of an another example in history or story that had a similar thing happen and I came up with Anne Frank's Diary. In the story of Anne Frank's Diary, Anne and her family has to move out to a secret place in her father's office to prevent to be taken away with the Germans during Holocaust. Anne, like Anita has to spend the most of the days in the secret place with her family, and some others. Anne also cannot go out and cannot make any sound like Anita. Those are some similarrity between the situation of both stories.

Anita's diary

July 8th,1961
-Anita is reading The Arabian Nights. While reading she comes up with lots of questions. She is curious if a girl can save herlife by telling a cruel sultan a bunch of stories. Anita is curious if she might as well do the same to save herself.

July 19th, 1961
-Tio Pepe and Wimpy says that there might be a private flight that will take bunch of Americans to Florida. They are going to try to work it out so that Mami and Anita can take the flight to go to U.S.A.

July 20th,1961
-Anita has been reading the book that Oscar has chosen for her. Each time Anita finishes reading, she gives back with the card, Queen of heart in it. Then Oscar gives back another book with the card in it too. It's like a secret language between them.

1st Writting Assignment

4In the book Before we were Free, Tio Toni and Papi put their family at risk in order to free the country from their dictator, El Jefe. I think that Tio Toni and Papi are not justified in putting their family in danger in order to try to change their country for the better because they are being selfish and not thinking of their family as first priority. However, I also understand Tio Toni and Papi. They are trying to save their country and their people from the cruel and unjustice dictator so that the rest of the family that had gone to the U.S.A could come back to where they belong.H

My Favorite BookS I Have Read in Middle School :)

My favorite book that i have read in middle school are the series of Twilight written by Stephenie Meyer. The story is about a girl in Highschool called Bella who moved in to a small village called Forks to live with her dad,Charlie. Then at school she meets a boy in her class called Edward. she finds something unexpected of Edward. He is a vampire but she falls in love with him. In the book she has some truble adventures with the vampire. Also, I liked the book called "The Giver", the book that I read in 7th grade. The giver was a story about a boy calles Jonas who lived in a strange cummunity were they don't have change of weather and they can't see color. The exciting part begins when Jonas recieves the job of the receiver to become the giver during the ceremony of twelves.
